Pack 74 is a Cub Scout pack serving the community of Boulder, Colorado, since 1948. With approximately 40 boys, we are located primarily in North Boulder, holding our pack and den meetings in and around the Foothill Elementary School campus. We are officially sponsored by the Boulder Elks Lodge. Boys attend Foothill, Washington, Mapleton, Brideun, and Columbine schools.
Open to All
Pack 74 is open to all boys between first and fifth grades. Boys may join the pack at any time in their elementary school years, regardless of whether they have belonged to a pack before or not. Pack 74 has no religious affiliation.
Meetings
Dens have meetings two afternoons a month; boys do activities toward requirements for achievement awards in subjects like Bicycling, Soccer, Local Government, First Aid, and Ecology. Parents usually take turns organizing the den meetings. Pack meetings are one evening a month.
Fun
Scouting is fun with a purpose, and the purpose is to raise boys who respect themselves and others, and who have strong character.
We're Active
Pack 74 is dedicated to a lively Cub Scout experience. We frequently go on family camping and hiking trips into the Boulder foothills. We hold annual, traditional Cub Scout events like the Pinewood Derby and the Raingutter Regatta. We teach our cubs in the essentials skills and enjoyment of outdoor activities, community involvement, personal safety, sports, and the environment.
We're Organized
Cubs are organized into dens according to their grade level.
1st-graders are in Tigers
2nd-graders are in Wolfs
3rd-graders are in Bears
4th- and 5th-graders are in Webelos
