The Scout Centre Frystak
The Scout Centre in Frystak (Czech Republic, Europe) has a rich history. There are about 100 boy scouts, girl scouts, cub scouts and firefly scouts, who work in three troops there at present. One troop of boy scouts and cub scouts and one troop of firefly scouts and girl scouts work in Frystak. One troop work in village Lukov (about 4 km from Frystak). There is also a troop of 30 oldscouts in our centre, where are a group of family scouting also. Our troops have regular meetings in the clubhouse at the parish courtyard, at the cottagey activity centre "Eliska" (about 2 km from Frystak) and in the clubhouse in Lukov. During the holidays we organize camps - at the campsite in village Kasava (about 10 km from Frystak). Except for holiday camps we organize the spring and autumn minicamps every year, the meetings (moot) of rovers and rangers, a regular seminary of leaders oriented at the spiritual dimensions of scouting and other actions. We try to address the public for example by annual carrying the Bethlehem light or at our traditional scout ball. |
